A good ol' girls day.

Last week we met up in Yorkville to do some shopping, have lunch, and visit a couple of my mom's clients.
We had the pleasure of going into a store called Kumari's, a bright little boutique which features a whirlwind of neatly organized pashminas in every colour, cashmere ponchos, and gorgeous, unique jewelry. If you're ever in Yorkville, make sure to hit up this super fun store.

My mom loved this stunning necklace made of turquoise
Kumari's delicate black lace jacket
Next stop: lunch! At one of my favourite places to eat ever. Moroco is probably the cutest, most luscious little lounge I've ever experienced. And the food is just ugh amazing.
Moroco Chocolate Boutique is heavenly

And then we shopped. We spent forever in Anthropologie... Honestly if that store was my closet I would not complain.
We thought this was appropriate.
Mom's adding this dress from Anthropologie to her lust list.
On mom: Joe Fresh dress, Michael Kors heels, Francesco Biasia bag, vintage hat and cardigan. On me: Brandy Melville shirt and bralette, American Apparel jeans, Roots bag, Toms shoes, Urban Outfitters sunglasses
Thanks for checking in! See ya,

Daughter, can I borrow this?

Here's something new! My mom's wearing my dress! (This is rare).
H&M jacket, The Bay hat, Stella & Dot necklace and earrings
Charlotte Russe dress

I really like this look because its youthful, sexy, yet still age-appropriate. I'm a big fan of khaki anything. Jackets, caps, pants, scarves - whatever! I especially love it teamed with black and gold bits, like this ensemble. I also have an affinity for animal prints and my favourite is leopard. These thin-strapped heeled Mary Janes are the perfect hint of energy.

Guess shoes
Aritzia sweater, Ron White necklace, Urban Outfitters sunglasses, bag purchased in Montreal
This dress was given to me by my best friend Michelle. It's so comfortable, it feels like I'm in pajamas when I wear it.
See ya,

Ruffles and lace.

Summer is almost over and I am already mourning hot lazy days and beach bonfires and going on adventures. But strangely enough, I'm anticipating fall. This never happens. I am usually such a summer enthusiast! But for some reason now I can't help but feel excited. I can feel change coming. I'm looking forward to seeing new places and getting to know new people. So I guess you could say right now I'm already in an autumn mindset... and I have to keep reminding myself that it's still hot out! It's still the right time for ruffled shirts and crochet shorts. So while I'm eagerly anticipating fall, here are some end-of-summer looks to remind you that it's not over yet!
Old Navy shirt, Gap jeans, vintage clutch, Payless heels, American Eagle necklace
Urban Outfitters shorts, Aldo necklace
Aldo heels (and faded henna)

LTD (Little Taupe Dress. Obviously.)

Wow! The support and encouragement we've received over the past couple days has been really amazing. Thank you to everyone who has been so kind about our little project.

And with that, we are excited to give to you our first actual style post!

Forever 21 dress, Nine West heels, Adrienne Vittadini purse, Winners cardigan
This is a dress I borrow constantly from my mom. It's such a pretty dress, and I love how my mom keeps it toned down with all neutrals. We love our neutrals, that's for sure. (Sometimes a little too much, actually. I occasionally have to remind myself that I'm 19 and it's okay to wear colour. But I digress.)

She paired this look with stacked but delicate jewelry and loose wavy hair. (I am constantly suffering from blonde hair-envy.)
And then there's me:
Steve Madden boots, Urban Outfitters sunglasses, H&M necklace
I am obsessed with this necklace that I got from H&M for like 8 bucks. I could be wearing the most boring t-shirt, and then I put it on and it's like boom, I put effort into my appearance! Woo!
And I think it goes without saying that black combat boots are simply a necessity.

A huge thank you to Sarah Dykes for taking these photos! Check out her blog: knowing-s.blogspot.ca

See ya!

Let's get started.

Hi! I'm Taylor, I'm 19 years old, and I live in Ontario, Canada with my mom, dad, and two younger brothers. I am currently in the process of figuring out what my life is all about. I don't know a lot for sure, but I do know that I love people, music, and performing. Oh, and I really like clothes.

Style has been important to me most of my life (although my elementary school days might lead you to believe otherwise). For as long as I can remember I've been borrowing my mom's clothes. "Mom, can I borrow this?" is a question I usually ask every day.

My mom and I don't agree on everything. We get in arguments, we get on each other's nerves. But I know she wants the best for me always, and for that I am so grateful. I am so lucky to have such a supportive mom. It's also a plus that she's a stylin' queen. This blog will showcase how we share our clothes, but if you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of some of my sassy fabulous life.

See ya,
Taylor

Hi, I'm Taylor's mom aka Stéphanie. I'm in my 40's, married to a great guy and get the opportunity to raise 3 awesome kids.

It's true that the most common phrase from my daughter is "Mom, can I borrow this?" Most often it's clothes but sometimes it's beauty products, accessories, books or magazines.

For music I'm the one borrowing from her; she's cooler. And musical. And talented. The past couple of years though, I've been rifling through her cooler, younger style acquisitions adding my own personality & hopefully modesty to these creations.

This blog will give you a look at how I share part of my life with my only daughter. I love that we can do this project together - finally!
